These terms apply when you use the Forever Places website and service. By using the service, you agree to them.
Forever Places is a service operated by 7am Dev Inc ("Forever Places", "we", "us"). These terms govern your use of our website and the memorial planning and arranging service we provide.
We help families plan and arrange a memorial for someone they love, after the funeral. For an agreed flat fee, we plan it with you, find out what is possible, and arrange the independent local people who carry the work out. We do not take possession of remains, and we do not ourselves scatter ashes, build, cast, install, or perform the memorial work.
We charge one flat fee for arranging each memorial, agreed with you before any work begins. Fees shown on the website are a guide and are confirmed for your request first. You pay the independent providers who carry out the work directly, at their own price, and we do not add to it or take a margin on it. If a provider offers us a discount, we pass it on to you. The done-for-you memorial site is the exception: we build it ourselves, so its flat fee is the whole cost. Your Guide explains exactly what your fee covers, and anything you pay directly, before you commit.
Gift vouchers, where offered, are subject to any additional terms provided with them.
You agree to give us accurate information, to use the service lawfully, and to make your own decisions about what you would like us to arrange. You confirm that you have the right to make arrangements for the person you are remembering, and that any information or images you give us are yours to share. Where the work is carried out by an independent provider we arrange, such as a local, a maker, or a cemetery, you engage and pay that provider directly, and your agreement for that work is with them.
The local people and specialists who carry out the work, such as guides, stonemasons, plaque makers, and planting partners, are independent third parties, not our employees. For memorials we arrange, we find, coordinate, and introduce them and take reasonable care in choosing them, and you engage and pay them directly, at their own price. For research services, such as locating a cemetery plot, any agreement for the work itself is likewise made directly between you and the third party. In either case the specialist work is theirs, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not responsible for their own acts, omissions, workmanship, or availability beyond the reasonable care we take in selecting and coordinating them.
Our service and website provide general help and information, not legal, financial, or other professional advice. See our Legal and Guidelines page for more.
The website and its content, including the text, design, and images we own or license, belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the independent acts or omissions of the third-party providers who carry out the work. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the fee you paid us for the memorial concerned.
We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which 7am Dev Inc operates, and any disputes are subject to the courts of that province.
